21. Restricted antigen recognition in B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia
Sammanfattning : Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) cells are considered to be derived from antigen-exposed B cells. To further explore the antigen-driven selection behind the leukemogenesis of CLL, we performed immunoglobulin (Ig) specificity screening of 7 CLL cell lines and 23 primary CLL clones from patient peripheral blood. 22. Humanized mice as a model to study human immunity
Sammanfattning : Mice with human immune systems have evolved over the last three decades. Over the years, these humanized mouse models have provided us with valuable information on human immunity. Recent developments in recipient mouse strains and engraftment protocols have resulted in models with high level of de novo formation of human immune cells. LÄS MER
23. Modelling and inference of relative collision safety in cars
Sammanfattning : We propose a new mathematical model for relative collision safety in cars. Our present research is restricted to head-on crashes between two cars and we try to determine how much of the injury risk in a crash that depends on car model. The relative risks include the driver populations of the different car models. LÄS MER
24. On the Modelling of Mechanical Dewatering in Papermaking
Sammanfattning : Most of the water fed into a paper machine is removedmechanically in the forming and press sections. One of thefactor which has an important influence on mechanicaldewatering, i.e. in both forming and pressing, is thestress-strain behaviour of the fibre network. LÄS MER
25. Verification of networks of communicating processes : Reachability problems and decidability issues
Sammanfattning : Computer systems are used in almost all aspects of our lives and our dependency on them keeps on increasing. When computer systems are used to handle critical tasks, any software failure can cause severe human and/or material losses. LÄS MER
