  1. 6. Mapping Concurrent Applications to Multiprocessor Systems with Multithreaded Processors and Network on Chip-Based Interconnections

    Författare :Ruxandra Pop; Petru Eles; Shashi Kumar; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Network on Chip; Multiprocessor Embedded Systems; Task Mapping; Task Scheduling; Multithreading; Simultaneous Multithreading; Response Time Estimation; Genetic Algorithms; List Scheduling; Soft Deadline; Task Graphs; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Network on Chip (NoC) architectures provide scalable platforms for designing Systems on Chip (SoC) with large number of cores. Developing products and applications using an NoC architecture offers many challenges and opportunities. A tool which can map an application or a set of applications to a given NoC architecture will be essential. LÄS MER

  2. 7. An Associative Memory Trace in the Cerebellar Cortex

    Författare :Dan-Anders Jirenhed; Associativ inlärning; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; neuropsykologi; neurofysiologi; neurophysiology; Neurologi; neuropsychology; Classical Conditioning; Cerebellum; Purkinje cell; Physiology; Fysiologi; Neurology;

    Sammanfattning : Classical conditioning of motor responses, e.g., the eyeblink response, depends on the cerebellum. In the theoretical works of David Marr (1969) and James Albus (1971), it was proposed that Purkinje cells in the cerebellar cortex learn to associate the neutral conditioned stimulus with the response. 3. 8. New light on neurocognitive processes linked to autism and attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder in childhood : studies of eye movements in twins

    Författare :Monica Siqueiros Sanchez; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Visual attention and oculomotor response inhibition have been associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) respectively. The aim of this thesis was to increase our knowledge about these cognitive functions relevant to ASD and ADHD in early infancy and childhood using eye tracking and twin modelling. LÄS MER

  4. 9. To grip and not to slip : sensorimotor mechanisms in reactive control of grasp stability

    Författare :Charlotte Häger Ross; Roland S. Johansson; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; human; hand; precision grip; grasp force; friction; cutaneous mechanoreceptors; sensorimotor integration; motor control;

    Sammanfattning : The reactive control of fingertip forces maintaining grasp stability was examined in man during a prehensile task. Blindfolded subjects used the precision grip between the tips of index finger and thumb to restrain an object that was subjected to unpredictable load forces. These were delivered tangential to the parallel grip surfaces of the object. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Applications of event-related potentials in the study of attention

    Författare :Magnus Lindgren; Institutionen för psykologi; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; event-related potentials; attention; nicotine; toxic encephalopathy; hypoglycaemia; P300; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : Event-related potentials were measured in a series of studies where issues concerning attention were of special interest. In particular, the P300 was used as an index of controlled attention. Papers I and III studied nicotine effects on the P300. LÄS MER
