  1. 11. Towards empirically grounded guidance for resource efficiency: Applying, developing and synthesising environmental assessments

    Författare :Daniel Böckin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Circular Business Models; guidelines; business models; synthesis; Life Cycle Assessment; decoupling; resource efficiency; 3D-printing; Circular Economy; waste hierarchy;

    Sammanfattning : Numerous solutions have been proposed to mitigate environmental damage, including resource efficiency and the vision of circular economy. Suggested solutions are often formulated as guidelines and heuristics like in the EU waste hierarchy, so-called R-hierarchies for resource efficiency and various guidelines for circular business models. 2. 12. Personalekonomi och "det goda" – om etik och effektivitet i arbetet : Human Resource Costing and Accounting and the Good – about ethics, efficiency and work

    Författare :Freddy Hällsten; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Human resources; ethics; efficiency; the good work; costing and accounting; utilitarianism; dignity of the individual; phronesis;

    Sammanfattning : Can Human Resource Costing and Accounting (HRCA) contribute when creating ”the good work”? What kind of perceptions are dominating among HRCA-actors – the system directed striving to attain organisational utility or the actor-directed aimed at ”the dignity of the individual”? What consequences are discernable if one of them is dominant? ”The good” can be characterised by utilitarianism – to create the utmost possible utility. ”The good” can also be considered from an action-theoretical perspective, that is based on Aristotle’s ideas about ethics (phronesis and praxis). 3. 13. Exploring barriers to energy efficiency in supermarkets

    Författare :Ulla Lindberg; MariAnne Karlsson; Högskolan i Borås; []
    Nyckelord :retail; servicescape; foodscape; chilled groceries; energy efficiency; barriers; refrigerated display cabinets; consumer behaviors; consumer perceptions; Resource Recovery; Resursåtervinning;

    Sammanfattning : Energy efficiency activities in sections of grocery stores for chilled groceries are subject to particular challenges as this is a complex indoor environment given that the goal of store owners is to offer consumers chilled groceries of high quality in a comfortable environment while at the same time trying to reduce energy use. Consequently, it is important to maintain the right temperature in the right place and to be aware of the consumers’ shopping situation. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Resource-Predictable and Efficient Monitoring of Events

    Författare :Jonas Mellin; Sten F. Andler; Sharma Chakravarthy; Ulf Nilsson; Peter Fritzson; Linköpings universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : We present a formally specified event specification language (Solicitor). Solicitor is suitable for real-time systems, since it results in resource-predictable and efficient event monitors. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Hydrokinetic Resource Assessment : Measurements and Models

    Författare :Emilia Lalander; Mats Leijon; Mitsuhiro Kawase; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : The conversion of kinetic energy in water currents into electricity has gained great attention the past years. The conversion systems are stand-alone units that typically consist of a turbine, driven by the water stream, with a generator connected to it. LÄS MER
