  1. 6. Toward Cyber-Secure and Resilient Networked Control Systems

    Författare :André Teixeira; Henrik Sandberg; Karl H. Johansson; Kameshwar Poolla; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Cyber Security; Resilience; Industrial Control Systems; Fault-Tolerant Systems; Risk Management; Cyber säkerhet; Resiliens; Industriella Styrsystem; Riskanalys; Electrical Engineering; Elektro- och systemteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Resilience is the ability to maintain acceptable levels of operation in the presence of abnormal conditions. It is an essential property in industrial control systems, which are the backbone of several critical infrastructures. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Urban, pluvial flooding : Blue-green infrastructure as a strategy for resilience

    Författare :Johanna Sörensen; Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; urbanhydrologi; pluviala översvämningar; resiliens; blå-grön infrastruktur; socio-teknisk förändring; Urban hydrology; Pluvial flooding; Resilience; Blue-green infrastructure; socio-technical transition;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates urban, pluvial flooding and if blue-green infrastructure, for handling of stormwater in urban green spaces, can be used as a strategy for resilient flood risk management. Spatial analyses of flood claims from insurance companies and the water utility company of Malmö are used to better understand the mechanisms and characteristics of pluvial flooding and how blue-green infrastructure impacts flood risk. 3. 8. Residential usability and social sustainability, Towards a paradigm shift within housing design?

    Författare :Anna Braide; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; alterability; residential usability; residential design; adaptability; residential process; demographic transformation; user participation; flexibility; social sustainability;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACTThe ongoing demographic transformation poses challenges for the field of residential design. Meanwhile rules and regulations maintain a conventional approach to the subject. The housing market is considering the home as a commercialized lifestyle question, not focusing on the long-term residential resilience of the housing stock. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Building resilience beyond the passive house era. Project-based change and innovation towards the social-ecological performance of the built environment. Swedish experiences

    Författare :Barbara Rubino; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Sweden.; built environment; sustainability; change and innovation; project-based practice; resilience; socio-ecological systems SESs ; building sector;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector needs a radical change in order to make its contribution towards sustainable development. The sector is claimed to be conservative and characterized by fragmented one-off activities. At the same time, demonstration projects are present as current strategies of the transformation of the sector. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Trade-offs and conflicting objectives of decision-making investments in low-carbon technology portfolios for sustainable development : National and continental insights offered by applying energy system models
