Sammanfattning : During aging a reduction of energy metabolism, energy intake and fat free mass can be seen. Some elderly patients experience more pronounced body weight loss that may lead to malnutrition states. Sammanfattning : In this thesis I analyze, with the help of social epidemiological theories, childhood risk factors behind suicidal behavior in adolescence and young adulthood. 19. Income distribution and health : the role of individual and municipality levels
Sammanfattning : The question whether income inequality is detrimental for health is still, after almost a quarter of a century and an impressive amount of literature, debated. The purpose of this thesis is to explore the association between income inequality and different health outcomes in a relatively egalitarian country during the 1990s and early 2000s, thereby contributing to a better understanding of the multitude of interpretations.
