1. Företag i perifera regioner : fallstudier av företagartradition, företagsmiljö och företags framväxt i Norrbottens inland
Sammanfattning : This is a study of how industries develop in regions that are industrially weak, exemplified by Norrbotten, the northernmost province of Sweden. Developing industries are represented by three companies manufacturing prefabricated wooden houses, situated in the municipalities Övertorneå, Kalix (Morjärv) and Älvsbyn in the interior of Norrbotten. Sammanfattning : This thesis aspires to advance understanding of how actor choices relate to embedded structures of rules in communicative planning practice, using insights from the institutional literature developed in organizational science, economics, sociology and planning. Specifically, the thesis argues that a spatial institutional perspective can help planners understand the complex patterns of interaction among actors, and between actors and rules. LÄS MER
Sammanfattning : The overall purpose of this thesis is to study regional variation in the international competitiveness (export capacity, market orientation and production aboard) of Swedish manufacturing industry, and to contribute to explaination of this variation. Sammanfattning : This thesis takes its departure from the fact that in the 16th century there were some regions in Scandinavia where almost all land was held by freeholders, while in other regions large areas of land were held by landlords. The aim of the study is to determine which factors had been decisive in the development of this regional variation. LÄS MER
