    Sammanfattning : Prostaglandin F2α is a prostanoid FP receptor agonist which acts as an intraocular pressure-lowering agent by increasing the uveoscleral outflow of aqueous humour through the ciliary muscle. The aim of this, thesis was to investigate possible mechanisms of the increased uveoscleral outflow induced by prostaglandin F2α and its analogue latanoprost acid. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The androgen receptor (AR) is the mediator of androgen actions. In the AR coding region there is a polymorphic CAG repeat encoding a stretch of the amino acid glutamine (Q).     Sammanfattning : Abstract The aims of the present thesis were to examine neuropeptide Y (NPY) responses in different human and guinea pig vascular beds and in cultured human vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMC) and to characterize, with different NPY agonists and the specific NPY Y1 receptor antagonist (BIBP3226), the NPY receptors involved.
