16. Enzyme catalysis towards bio-based UV-curable buildingblocks
Sammanfattning : Polymeric materials are found in virtually all areas of daily life; they are found in everything from packages keeping our food safe to the buildings where we spend our days, and the production is a worldwide industry. Although polymeric materials play a big part in sustainable solution’s, a lot can be done to develop more environmental methods for producing them. LÄS MER
17. Reaction Mechanism and Allosteric Regulation of Class Ia Ribonucleotide Reductase from Escherichia coli
Sammanfattning : Ribonculeotide reductase (RNR) plays a key role in catalysing a reaction that provides all living organisms with building blocks for DNA. The RNR enzyme catalyses the conversion of ribonucleotides to their corresponding deoxyribonucleotides, by using free radical chemistry. LÄS MER
18. Proteomics in Nasal Lavage Fluids from Persulfate Challenged Hairdressers
Sammanfattning : Hairdressers have an increased risk for developing airway symptoms e.g. asthma and rhinitis. Persulfate salts, which are oxidizing agents present in bleaching powder, are considered to be important causal agents for these symptoms. LÄS MER
19. Early diagnosis of cytomegalovirus infection using monoclonal antibodies and DNA amplification
Sammanfattning : Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is ubiquitous and frequently infects normal individuals with few serious clinical consequences. However, patients with impaired cellular immunity frequently develop life-threatening opportunistic HCMV infections due to either primary infection or reactivation of latent virus. LÄS MER
20. Analytical aspects on luminol chemiluminescence and some applications in clinical chemistry and immunology
Sammanfattning : In order to use the protohematin catalyzed chemiluminescent oxidation of luminol for sensitive determination of substances of interest in clinical chemistry, the kinetics and mechanism of the reaction were studied. The results were used to design optimized reaction conditions for assays of serum hemoglobin, serum albumin, antibody against serum albumin, and serum myoglobin. LÄS MER
