  1. 1. Jobb(iga) nyheter : om dagstidningars bevakning av arbetsmiljöfrågor

    Författare :Eva J:son Lönn; Olle Findahl; Vanni Tjernström; Mikael Bergenheim; Maria Elliot; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; journalism; news coverage; newspapers; framing; news frames; occupa-tional health or ill-health; journalistic routines; categorization; source routines; news sources; scientists; science journalism; newsroom; news culture; “beat” news coverage; gender; Media and communication studies; Medie- och kommunikationsvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : In the beginning of this millennium the increasing level of work related illness was de-scribed, in the public debate, as one of the most serious and costly social problems of our times. An important question in the present study is whether or not the newspapers contributed to make their readers, the politicians and other social actors aware of this vast and growing problem. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this doctoral thesis is to study communication work among personnel in Swedish pre-schools, with a particular focus on mediated communication with parents. The purpose is also to analyse what roles are given to the professionals in this communication, to identify what subject positions are constructed and to identify how boundaries are managed within the communication practices. 3. 3. Extracting Clinical Findings from Swedish Health Record Text

    Författare :Maria Skeppstedt; Hercules Dalianis; Gunnar Nilsson; Maria Kvist; Tapio Salakoski; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Named entity recognition; Corpora development; Clinical text processing; Distributional semantics; Random indexing; Vocabulary expansion; Assertion classification; Clinical text mining; Electronic health records; Swedish; Computer and Systems Sciences; data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Information contained in the free text of health records is useful for the immediate care of patients as well as for medical knowledge creation. Advances in clinical language processing have made it possible to automatically extract this information, but most research has, until recently, been conducted on clinical text written in English. 4. 4. Light propagation and photonic functionalization of semi-ordered material (transparent wood)

    Författare :Adil Baitenov; Sergei Popov; Sergey Ponomarenko; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; light scattering; scattering material; hierarchical structure; FEM model; wood modification; random lasers; dye lasers; transparent wood; adsorption; diffusive media; Optics and Photonics; Optik och fotonik;

    Sammanfattning : Investigating novel materials requires understanding their chemical and optical properties, which allows for finding their uses through functionalization by chemical modification. In this thesis, we are focusing on a material with high anisotropic scattering - transparent wood. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Design of Functional Structures and Measurement Techniques for Electromagnetic Waves

    Författare :Johan Lundgren; Teoretisk elektroteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; functional structures; frequency selective structures; polarization selectivity; metasurface; near-field measurements; antenna measurements; scattering measurement; power density; random media;

    Sammanfattning : Electromagnetic fields exist all around us. Through evolution, nature has developed tools to interact and use these fields, where our eyes are a spectacular example. Humans have a long history of developing structures and objects of their own to alter and interact with these fields. LÄS MER
