  1. 16. Data-driven models for railway track geometry maintenance

    Författare :Hamid Khajehei; Alireza Ahmadi; John Andrews; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Data-driven models; degradation; maintenance; tamping; track geometry; planning and scheduling; railway infrastructure; Drift och underhållsteknik; Operation and Maintenance;

    Sammanfattning : Railways are currently experiencing higher demands on safety, infrastructure performance, network capacity and service quality, etc. As a result, a high level of track availability, service quality and infrastructure robustness against unexpected events is required, at reduced cost, to meet the demands. 2. 17. Towards Sustainable Construction: Life Cycle Assessment of Railway Bridges

    Författare :Guangli Du; Raid Karoumi; Håkan Sundquist; Helge Brattebo; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Life cycle assessment; LCA; Environment; Railway Bridge; Sustainability; Järnvägsgruppen - Infrastruktur; Järnvägsgruppen - Infrastruktur;

    Sammanfattning : Since last few decades, the increased pressure from the environmental issues of natural resource depletion, global warming and air pollution have posed a great challenge worldwide. Among all the industrial fields, bridge infrastructures and their belonged construction sector contribute to a wide range of energy and raw materials consumptions, which is responsible for the most significant pollutions. 3. 18. Hybrid digital twins: A co-creation of data science and physics

    Författare :Antonio Galvez; Diego Galar; Uday Kumar; Dammika Seneviratne; Dimitrios Kyritsis; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; hybrid modelling; physics-based model; data-driven model; HVAC system; Railway; Drift och underhållsteknik; Operation and Maintenance;

    Sammanfattning : Safety is more important than reliability or efficiency in railway, aerospace, oil & gas, and chemical industries. Regulations are very restrictive in sectors where safety is paramount. LÄS MER

  4. 19. On Derailment-Worthiness in Rail Vehicle Design : Analysis of vehicle features influencing derailment processes and consequences

    Författare :Dan Brabie; Evert Andersson; Roderick A Smith; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; derailment; bogie design; wheel-sleeper impact; simulation; deviation; vehicle inter-connection; guidance mechanism; substitute guidance; articulated train; railway safety; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims at systematically studying the possibilities of minimizing devastating consequences of high-speed rail vehicle derailments by appropriate measures and features in the train design including the running gear. Firstly, an empirical database is established containing as much relevant information as possible of past incidents and accidents that have occurred at substantial running speeds due to mechanical failure close to the interface between the running gear and the track. 5. 20. Multi-objective optimization of railway bogie suspension damping

    Författare :Albin Johnsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Railway vehicle dynamics; Bogie suspension design; Multi-objective optimization; Pareto optimized bogie primary and secondary suspensions damping;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis multi-objective optimization is used to find Pareto fronts showing the set of optimized damping parameters of primary and secondary bogie suspensions. Special interests are put on requirements to enhance safety and comfort of a railway vehicle. LÄS MER
