1. Desire Lines : Towards a Queer Digital Media Phenomenology
Sammanfattning : This dissertation explores ways in which “queer digital media use” co-produces senses of space, time, and queer being in contemporary Russia. Considering the particular implications of (in)visibility for queer living, and the importance of compartmentalizing conflicting spheres, the study provides a grounded account of queer life lived with and through digital media in a context currently characterized by “anti-gay” sentiments. Sammanfattning : Avhandlingen är en tvärvetenskaplig kulturstudie som utforskar föreställningar om och erfarenheter av hiv som kronisk sjukdom i Sverige under 2005–2014. Analysen av ett antal hiv-berättelser sker tillsammans med en teoretisk sammanflätning i form av den queera sårbarhetens och sjukdomens fenomenologi, samt genom de feministiska figurationerna hiv-tröskeln, skrubbsår, plåster och gruskorn. 4. Kroppslinjer – Kön, transsexualism och kropp i berättelser om könskorrigering
Sammanfattning : The aim with this dissertation is to analyse the construction and challenge of body and personhood in transsexual persons narratives on gender correction, as well as what these narratives tells of the terms through which human bodies become intelligible and recognised as possible persons. Sammanfattning : This monograph on the œuvre of contemporary American author and multimedia artist Shelley Jackson addresses the question of how literary works employ language to evoke sense impressions. Gilles Deleuze’s notion of aesthetic percepts is drawn on to develop a theory of literary phantom sensations which is then tested on the work of Jackson and related authors. LÄS MER
