6. Four-Body Treatment of the Hydrogen-Antihydrogen System
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a nonadiabatic (4-body) description of the hydrogen-antihydrogen system at a nonrelativistic level. The properties of the system, the rearrangement processes and the possible existence of resonance states are investigated by using a variational method for coupled arrangement channels, the Gaussian Expansion Method, and the stabilization method. 7. Decryption Failure Attacks on Post-Quantum Cryptography
Sammanfattning : This dissertation discusses mainly new cryptanalytical results related to issues of securely implementing the next generation of asymmetric cryptography, or Public-Key Cryptography (PKC).PKC, as it has been deployed until today, depends heavily on the integer factorization and the discrete logarithm problems. 8. Spectroscopy of semiconductor quantum dots
Sammanfattning : Quantum dots in the Si/Ge and InAs/GaAs materials systems are examined by means of photoluminescence. The spectroscopic study of Si/Ge quantum dots has demonstrated two different radiative recombination channels in the type II band alignment: The spatially direct transition inside the dot and the spatially indirect transition across the dot interface. 9. Theoretical Studies of Spin-Dependent Quantum Phenomena in Semiconductor Nanostructures
Sammanfattning : The study of spin transport has emerged at the forefront of condensed matter physics during the last decade. Much of the interest has undoubtedly been sparked by the advent of the spintronics paradigm and the idea of creating novel electronic devices based on the spin degree of freedom of the carriers. 10. Authentication in Quantum Key Distribution : Security Proof and Universal Hash Functions
Sammanfattning : Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) is a secret key agreement technique that consists of two parts: quantum transmission and measurement on a quantum channel, and classical post-processing on a public communication channel. It enjoys provable unconditional security provided that the public communication channel is immutable. LÄS MER
