    Sammanfattning : This research initially sprung out of a natural curiosity for the emerging phenomenon of open data with its combination of democratic perspectives, since it is based on freedom of information legislation, and its potential for a multitude of citizen driven innovations. Research showed that while open data repeatedly was being envisioned for having immense potential of leading to a multitude of innovations and societal impacts, most of the attention still remained on challenges related to enable a broad realisation of open data, that is, putting more data on the web.     Sammanfattning : This thesis contributes to an increased understanding of how public–private dyads enact (“what”), enable (“how”), and embrace (“why”) market orientation. Drawing on a multi-year study of Swedish public transport, the thesis shows that the nature of the relationship between public and private organizations plays an important role in how market orientation is undertaken in dyadic practice.     Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis examines the concept of penalty value (Sw. straffvärde), which is central for Swedish sentencing law.
