  1. 6. Molecular and clinical studies of cartilage and bone macromolecules in arthritis

    Författare :Bengt Månsson; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Skeleton; Prognosis; Tissue damage; Bone markers; Cartilage markers; Rheumatoid arthritis; Psoriatic arthritis; muscle system; rheumatology locomotion; Skelett; muskelsystem; reumatologi;

    Sammanfattning : The pathogenesis of inflammatory arthritides include synovial inflammation and joint tissue destruction. Tissue destruction has traditionally been regarded a consequence of inflammation, but recent observations indicate that the processes are not always closely linked and may proceed uncoupled. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Team rehabilitation and health care utilization in chronic inflammatory arthritis patients

    Författare :Sofia Hagel; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Rehabilitation; rheumatoid arthritis; psoriatic arthritis; spondylarthritis; ankylosing spondylitis; multidisciplinary team; rheumatological team care; health care utilization; outcome measures; aerobic capacity; ICF; physical functioning.;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to study outcome and evaluation of rheumatological multidisciplinary team rehabilitation programmes in patients with chronic inflammatory arthritis (CIA); rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and other spondyloarthritides, and to analyse health care utilization over the last decade in patients with RA. In Study I the outcome of an 18 days outpatient multidisciplinary team rehabilitation programme in 174 patients with CIA was analysed. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Measure for measure. Outcome assessment of arthritis treatment in clinical practice

    Författare :Anders Gülfe; Reumatologi och molekylär skelettbiologi; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TNF blockade; rheumatoid arthritis; utility; treatment continuation; agreement; health related quality of life; Outcome; response; psoriatic arthritis; spondyloarthritis; disease activity; observational study;

    Sammanfattning : Objective: To investigate (i) the performance and agreement between various activity indices and response criteria in TNF-blockade of RA; (ii) the predictive ability of different response criteria and disease activity states regarding continuation of anti-TNF treatment of RA; (iii) Euro-QoL-5-dimensions utility development during TNF blockade of RA, PsA and SpA. Also, (iv) to develop a simple, utility-based outcome measure, the number needed to treat per quality adjusted life year gained (NNQ) and apply it in RA, PsA and SpA patients on anti-TNF treatment. 4. 9. Psoriatic arthritis: cardiovascular risk factors, health-related quality of life and effects of weight loss treatment

    Författare :Anton J. Landgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; cardiovascular; epidemiology; obesity; psoriatic arthritis;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is an inflammatory rheumatic disease, characterized by arthritis, dactylitis, enthesitis and sometimes axial disease. PsA is associated with several comorbidities and reduced health-related quality of life (HRQoL), although less is known in relation to other common chronic rheumatic diseases. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Inflammatory arthritis and pregnancy

    Författare :Katarina Remaeus; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to add to the existing knowledge of how inflammatory arthritis disease affects pregnancy outcomes. In particular, the aim was to describe and study the effects of a diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) or psoriatic arthritis (PsA) on pregnancy outcomes, to further study the effect of disease severity in PsA on pregnancy outcomes and lastly to study the association of disease activity and preterm birth in pregnancies with PsA.
