21. Provenance of late Paleozoic and Mesozoic clastic sediments of Taimyr and their significance for understanding Arctic tectonics
Sammanfattning : The Taimyr Peninsula is a key element in the circum-Arctic region and represents the northern margin of the Siberian Craton. The Taimyr Peninsula preserves late Paleozoic through Mesozoic clasitic sedimentary successions in its Mesozoic fold belt, providing an ideal location to investigate the Mesozoic tectonic evolution associated with the opening of Amerasia Basin within a circum-Arctic framework. 22. Genetic variation in frost tolerance, juvenile growth and timber production in Russian larches (Larix Mill.) : implications for use in Sweden
Sammanfattning : Larch (Larix sp Mill.) is an important component in boreal montane and subalpine forests in the northern hemisphere. Macrofossils of larch in the Scandinavian mountains prove the existence of larch in Scandinavia after the last ice age, Siberian or Russian larch is now considered as an indigenous tree species of Sweden. 23. Self-Reliance for the Internet of Things: Blockchains and Deep Learning on Low-Power IoT Devices
Sammanfattning : The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) has transformed common embedded devices from isolated objects to interconnected devices, allowing multiple applications for smart cities, smart logistics, and digital health, to name but a few. These Internet-enabled embedded devices have sensors and actuators interacting in the real world. LÄS MER
24. The Soapstone Birds of Great Zimbabwe : Archaeological Heritage, Religion and Politics in Postcolonial Zimbabwe and the Return of Cultural Property

This large stonewalled settlement, once a political and urban centre, had been much reduced for four centuries, although the shrine continued to operate as local traditions dictated. LÄS MER
25. Understanding the environmental regulation of tree phenology
Sammanfattning : In temperate and boreal climates, trees synchronise their annual growth cycles with seasonal changes in daylength and temperature. Understanding how environmental cues regulate tree phenology is important to our ability to capture the potential responses of trees to climate change, with implications for forest productivity.
