16. NMR studies of Carbohydrate Structure and Dynamics in Solution
Sammanfattning : Methods for studies of the structures of carbohydrates in solution and their dynamics are presented. Approaches employing nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, mass spectrometry (MS), force-field computer simulations and chemical methods are described. LÄS MER
17. Solid state 29Si and 27Al magic angle spinning NMR studies of mechanochemically modified cement
Sammanfattning : Solid state 29Si and 27Al magic angle spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy has been used to investigate how mechanochemical modification affects the hydration kinetics, as well as the structural and chemical properties, in cement blends. The modification comprises intensive treatment of rapid hardening Portland cement with condensed silica fume additive in a vibrating grinding mill. LÄS MER
18. Glutaredoxin 3 from Escherichia coli : NMR structure analysis and structural aspects of the enzymatic mechanism
Sammanfattning : The structure of Escherichia coli glutaredoxin 3 (Grx3) was investigated using NMR spectroscopy in combination with isotope labeling. Nearly complete sequence specific assignment were obtained for the reduced Grx3 using a 15N enriched protein sample. LÄS MER
19. Protein structures and protein-solvent interactions : development and application of methods in high-resloultion nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in solution was used for the structural characterization of the proteins glutaredoxin-3 and flavodoxin from E. coli. A new NMR technique for the measurement of three-bond a proton-amide proton scalar coupling constants was developed. LÄS MER
20. Structural Studies of Hyaluronan Hydrogels
Sammanfattning : Hydrogels consist of cross-linked polymer networks with the ability to absorb large amounts of water. In this thesis, the structures of hydrogels consisting of hyaluronic acid (HA) cross-linked by 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDDE) have been investigated. LÄS MER
