  1. 21. On the analysis of antibody repertoires

    Författare :August Jernbom Falk; Peter Nilsson; Anna Månberg; Albert J.R. Heck; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; antibody repertoire; autoantibodies; serology; microarray; bead array; affinity proteomics; psychosis; SARS-CoV-2; COVID-19; post-COVID-19 condition; immunoglobulin; IgG; Biotechnology; Bioteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : The antibody repertoire is the ensemble of antibodies found in an individual at a given time. It displays high heterogeneity between individuals while being both largely temporally stable within an individual and rapidly responsive to immunological challenge. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Proteomic strategies for blood biomarker development in rare dystrophinopathies

    Författare :Camilla Johansson; Cristina Al-Khalili Szigyarto; Ola Söderberg; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Duchenne muscular dystrophy; Becker muscular dystrophy; proteomics; affinity-proteomics; biomarkers; DIA-MS; SRM-MS; immunoassay; suspension bead arrays; Duchenne muskeldystrofi; Becker muskeldystrofi; proteomik; affinitetsproteomik; biomarkörer; DIA-MS; SRM-MS; immunoassay; suspension bead array; Biotechnology; Bioteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD) are two rare genetic disorders of the family dystrophinopathy. They are both caused by the lack of, or reduced production of, the protein dystrophin. LÄS MER

  3. 23. On the profiling of autoantibodies in psychiatric disorders

    Författare :David Just; Peter Nilsson; Anna Månberg; Jochen M. Schwenk; Angela Vincent; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; affinity proteomics; microarrays; suspension bead array; autoantibodies; autoimmunity; psychiatric disorders; schizophrenia;

    Sammanfattning : There is a great need to increase our understanding of diseases affecting the brain and their underlying pathogenic mechanisms. To address this need, the work presented in this thesis applied affinity based proteomic techniques to profile proteins, and to investigate protein profiles and the autoantibody repertoire in brain related disorders. 4. 24. Lipoproteomics : A New Approach to the Identification and Characterization of Proteins in LDL and HDL

    Författare :Helen Karlsson; Mats Lindahl; Christer Tagesson; Pia Davidsson; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; LDL; HDL; Proteomik; Atheroskleros; Masspektrometri; 2-DE; Molecular medicine; Molekylär medicin;

    Sammanfattning : A proteomic approach was applied to examine the protein composition of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in humans. LDL and HDL were isolated by density gradient ultracentrifugation, and proteins were separated with twodimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and identified with peptide mass fingerprinting, using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry, and with amino acid sequencing using electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. 5. 25. Proteomic Analysis of Urinary Bladder Cancer : Aiming for Novel Biomarkers

    Författare :Mårten Lindén; Per-Uno Malmström; Ulrika Segersten; Sara Bergström Lind; Lars Egevad; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :urine; APOE; FGB; GAL1; LRG1; POLR1E; SERPINA1; STMN1; TOP2A; biomarker; diagnostic biomarker; prognostic biomarker; predictive biomarker; mass spectrometry; western blot; dot blot; immunohistochemistry; IHC; tissue microarray; TMA; urothelium; antibody; antibody-based; urinblåsecancer; biomarkör; diagnos; prognos; urin; proteomik; masspektrometri; immunohistokemi; antikroppar; Molecular Biology; Molekylärbiologi; Molekylär medicin; Molecular Medicine;

    Sammanfattning : Urinary bladder cancer is a heterogeneous disease appearing in different forms, e.g. non-muscle invasive and muscle invasive. For all variants, the expression of proteins is interesting to analyze for diagnostic, predictive, prognostic and drug targeting purposes, since it reflects the altered gene expression causing the cancer.
