   Sammanfattning : In this thesis, different approaches based on inhibition and interactions studies, have been used to characterize inhibitors of the non-structural protein 3 (NS3) from the hepatitis C virus (HCV). This involves identification of enzyme inhibitory effects and characterization of interaction mechanisms and kinetics, as well as effects on replication in a cell based system and serum protein binding.    Sammanfattning : In higher plants photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplast. This work focuses on two different processes that effects photosynthesis.    Sammanfattning : This thesis concerns a novel alkaline protease produced by an extremophilic microbial specie, designated as AL20, isolated from a feather sample collected at the shore of the alkaline soda lake Abjata in the Ethiopian Rift Valley. The isolate is a heterotrophic, alkaliphilic, halotolerant gram-positive, strictly aerobic, non-motile, non-spore forming bacterium. LÄS MER
