    Sammanfattning : This study deals with questions about national identity and national consciousness in Sweden from the middle of the 17th to the second half of the 18th century. Two embracing hypotheses have guided the inquiry. The first proposes that a clearly distinguishable national sentiment existed in Sweden already by the middle of the 17th century. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This study examines the importance of the concept of Roma et Augustus, the close relationship between the Roman emperor and the city of Rome, in the reign of Honorius, who reigned in AD 395-423. Rome and the emperor were two of the most important and conspicuous manifestations of Roman civilisation and power, around which much of late antique ideology of authority and legitimacy was formulated.
