   Sammanfattning : Starting around 1500 a period of state formation changed the European map. The scattered medieval principalities were replaced with more centralised and better organised states with permanent armies. Sweden was quite successful in competing with these states and experienced a period of expansion. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : This study deals with questions about national identity and national consciousness in Sweden from the middle of the 17th to the second half of the 18th century. Two embracing hypotheses have guided the inquiry. The first proposes that a clearly distinguishable national sentiment existed in Sweden already by the middle of the 17th century. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with two series of radio programmes where listeners’ social and personal questions were answered on the air, broadcasted between 1939 and 1968. This is the period in Swedish history which is usually called the era of the folkhem (“The people’s home”) when social reforms, cultural radicalism and social planning – modernization in the cultural, political and material senses – became a broad project and ideology.
