1. Innovative Construction of Student Residences : Frameup Project
Sammanfattning : In the majority of university cities in Sweden, a strong demand for student accommodations has initiated various development and research projects focusing on costs reduction and fast execution. The present thesis brings up a solution based on the development of a feasible assembly concept and process, for a Modular Building erection, where prefabricated 3D Modules are assembled into a sway steel frame. 2. Anspråk på utbildningsforskning : villkor för externa projektbidrag
Sammanfattning : This study focuses on outcome justifications during the preparation of project applications at the Swedish Research Council during the period of 2002-2004. The study is based on a theoretical approach derived from Michel Foucault placement of the reproductive processes in language use, John L. LÄS MER
3. Hydrometallurgical upgrading of a tetrahedrite-rich copper concentrate
Sammanfattning : Removal of impurity elements in copper metallurgy is one of the major problems encountered today since pure copper ore reserves are becoming exhausted and the resources of unexploited ores often contain relatively high amounts of antimony, arsenic, mercury and bismuth, which need to be eliminated. The present work aims at pre-treating a tetrahedrite rich complex copper sulphide concentrate by selective dissolution of the impurities, therefore, upgrading it for pyrometallurgical processing. 4. Local Effects On Icing Forecasts for Wind Power In Cold Climate
Sammanfattning : Understanding the risk of atmospheric icing on wind turbines is crucial for the operation of wind farms in cold climate regions. Processes leading to atmospheric icing in the planetary boundary layer are subject to interactions with the land surface--the details of which are largely unknown in current numerical weather prediction models and must be parameterized. 5. Interaction of sound waves with a swirl stabilized wood powder flame and their effects on flame characteristics
Sammanfattning : Swirling flows have been widely used for many years in engineering applications such as; chemical and mechanical mixing devices, separation units, spray drying technologies, turbo machinery and combustion systems. In practical combustion applications, swirl motion has been adopted to the incoming reactant flows in order to enhance the mixing of fuel and oxidizer and to improve flame stabilization and establishment, especially in regions of relatively low velocities, by recirculating hot product gas to the incoming reactants.
