  1. 6. Essays on trade, growth and applied econometrics

    Författare :Patrik Gustavsson Tingvall; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation consists of five essays. Three of these study countries’ specialisation patterns combining the two classical paradigms of trade theory, namely the Ricardian (technology) and the HeckscherOhlin (factor endowments) framework. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Spray combustion with multiple-injection in modern engine conditions

    Författare :Ahmad Hadadpour; Strömningsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Spray combustion; Multiple-injection; Internal combustion engine; LES; FGM; ESF;

    Sammanfattning : Combustion of fuel in diesel engines emits substances harmful to the environment such as soot. These emissions can be reduced by either in-cylinder treatments or after-treatments. One of the common in-cylinder treatments is multiple-injection, which divides a single fuel injection to multiple smaller injections. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Towards Aerial Robotic Workers

    Författare :Emil Fresk; Dimos Dimarogonas; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Aerial Robotic Worker; UAV; Multirotor; Quadrotor; Estimation; Quaternion; Inertial Navigation; Reglerteknik; Control Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to advance the control and estimation schemes for multirotors, and more specifically the Aerial Robotic Worker, in order to progress towards the necessary control and estimation performance for robust control, cooperation and collaboration. Towards this envisioned aim, this Licentiate thesis will present the following main research contributions: a) a singularity-free attitude controller for the attitude problem has been established, that does not have the inherent drawbacks of Euler angle or Direction Cosine Matrix based approaches, b) a generalized estimation scheme for attitude, position and parameter estimation will be presented that has the merit of low computational footprint, while it is robust towards magnetic disturbances and able to identify key parameters in the model of an Aerial Robotic Worker, c) an method for estimating the induced vibration frequencies on the multirotor’s frame, and the respective amplitudes, that relies on notch filtering for attenuating the induced vibrations, and d) a theoretical establishment, as well as an experimental development and evaluation of a variable pitch propeller model to add additional degrees of freedom and increase the robustness of an Aerial Robotic Worker. 4. 9. Design principles for noise reduction in hydraulic piston pumps : simulation, optimisation and experimental verification

    Författare :Andreas Johansson; Kevin Edge; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :hydraulic piston pumps; TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIKVETENSKAP;

    Sammanfattning : Noise reduction in hydmulic systems has been an important research topic for several decades. In recent years, industry's interest in the area has grown dramatically. The reason is new national and international requirements and legislation governing working conditions. LÄS MER

  5. 10. L’accordo nell’italiano parlato da apprendenti universitari svedesi : Uno studio sull’acquisizione del numero e del genere in una prospettiva funzionalista

    Författare :Anna Gudmundson; Camilla Bardel; Ineke Vedder; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; second language acquisiton; L2; gender; number; agreement; Italian; frequency effects; competition; form function mapping; validity; corpus; italienska; Italian;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates the acquisition of grammatical gender and number agreement in Italian as a second language (L2). The theoretical framework is based on a functional approach that stresses the importance of form function mappings, cues, frequency effects and the statistical properties of the language input.
