  1. 21. Climate change adaptation processes : Regional and sectoral stakeholder perspectives

    Författare :Karin André; Björn-Ola Linnér; Louise Simonsson; Anna Jonsson; Kate Lonsdale; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :Adaptation processes; adaptive capacity; climate change; forestry; participatory methods; perceptions; private and public organizations; risks; roles; stakeholder dialogues; stakeholders; Sweden; transdisciplinarity; urban regions; Anpassningskapacitet; anpassningsprocesser; deltagandemetoder; intressenter; intressentdialoger; klimatförändringar; privata och offentliga organisationer; risker; roller; skogsbruk; Sverige; transdisciplinaritet; uppfattningar; urbana regioner;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis analyses how societal adaptation processes in public and private sectors at the regional to local level in Sweden are enacted. The thesis pays particular attention to critical factors that constrain or enable adaptation by focussing on: who are the stakeholders, how do different stakeholders perceive their capacity to adapt, and the role of stakeholder interaction in facilitating adaptation processes A combination of two analytical perspectives is used where one is based on key concepts within adaptation literature, and the other draws on boundary crossing and transdisciplinary knowledge production (stakeholders, adaptive capacity, and science-based stakeholder dialogues). 2. 22. Production at any prize

    Författare :Marcus Lindahl; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Improvisation; Project Management; Planning Control; Complex processes; Legitimacy of action;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis - Produktion till varje Pris - deals withmanagerial improvisation in strictly planned economicenvironments. More specifically, it concerns the relationbetween planning and action during the execution phase of heavyconstruction projects. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Kaikaku in production toward creating unique production systems

    Författare :Yuji Yamamoto; Monica Bellgran; Mats Johansson; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : In the business environment characterized by the severe global competition and the fast-paced changes, production functions of manufacturing companies must have a capacity of undertaking not only incremental improvement, Kaizen, but also large-scale improvement that is of a radial and innovative nature here called “Kaikaku” (Kaikaku is a Japanese word meaning change or reformation).Moreover, production functions especially those located in high-wage countries must be proficient in radical innovation in production to maintain their competitive advantages. 4. 24. Pull based production systems : performance, modelling and analysis

    Författare :Jan-Arne Pettersen; Jose M. Framinan; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Industriell logistik; Industrial Logistics;

    Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis addresses performances, modelling and analyses of pull based production systems. The thesis consists of four main parts: a literature review, a comparison study of Kanban and CONWIP, an industrial practical case study, and the development of a new tool used for presentation and analysis of simulated performance results. 5. 25. Supporting the Design of Reconfigurable Production Systems

    Författare :Carin Rösiö; Mats Jackson; Kristina Säfsten; Erik Sundin; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; production system; manufacturing system; design process; industrialization; reconfigurability; reconfigurable manufacturing system; RMS; mobility; case study; manufacturing industry; Innovation and Design; innovation och design;

    Sammanfattning : To compete, manufacturing companies need production systems that quickly can respond to changes. To handle change drivers such as volume variations or new product variants, reconfigurability is advocated as a competitive means. LÄS MER
