11. Aerodynamic assessment of velopharyngeal function in speech
Sammanfattning : Velopharyngeal function in speech was assessed by aerodynamic techniques, which were developed and tested. Temporal and dynamic characteristics of the nasal airflow pattern during the velopharyngeal closing phase in speech were studied in different patient groups. Its validity in relation to listener's perceptual evaluation of speech was analyzed. LÄS MER
12. Statistical and Dynamical Aspects of Intermediate Energy Nuclear Collisions
Sammanfattning : Studies of intermediate energy heavy ion reactions have revealed the existence of a number of reducibility and thermal scaling properties in nuclear multifragmentation. In particular, the probability of emitting n-fragments is reducible to the probability of emitting a single fragment through the binomial distribution. LÄS MER
13. Managing the Industrial Service Function
Sammanfattning : During the past decade, growing attention has been given to industrial service offerings in the marketing literature as well as in many manufacturing firms. This phenomenon is often described as a goods-services transition, in which companies increasingly turn to the provision of industrial services in order to achieve competitive advantage, such a closer customer relationships and higher profit margins. 14. Adaptive Decision Support for Shop-floor Operators using Function Blocks
Sammanfattning : In manual and semi-automation production systems, flexibility and adaptability are affected by the shop-floor operators’ skills, abilities and knowledge. Such dependencies highlight the vital importance of developing and utilising the knowledge, achievements and abilities of the operators working with production on the shop-floor. LÄS MER
15. Multimodal Human-Robot Collaboration in Assembly
Sammanfattning : Human-robot collaboration (HRC) envisioned for factories of the future would require close physical collaboration between humans and robots in safe and shared working environments with enhanced efficiency and flexibility. The PhD study aims for multimodal human-robot collaboration in assembly. LÄS MER
