16. Stability and Change : Exploring policy formations, options and choice in Swedish upper secondary education
Sammanfattning : The key role Swedish upper secondary education plays in differentiating between higher education and labour market sectors has been discussed from an equality perspective over the last 60 years. Despite political incentives to reduce social biases students’ programme choices, research shows a persistent impact of both home environment and gender. LÄS MER
17. By Means of Beams : Laser Patterning and Stability in CIGS Thin Film Photovoltaics
Sammanfattning : Solar irradiation is a vast and plentiful source of energy. The use of photovoltaic (PV) devices to convert solar energy directly to electrical energy is an elegant way of sustainable power generation which can be distributed or in large PV plants based on the need. LÄS MER
18. Black liquor gasification : experimental stability studies of smelt components and refractory lining
Sammanfattning : Black liquors are presently combusted in recovery boilers where the inorganic cooking chemicals are recovered and the energy in the organic material is converted to steam and electricity. A new technology, developed by Chemrec AB, is black liquor gasification (BLG). LÄS MER
19. Acetylation of Solid Wood. Wood Properties and Process Development
Sammanfattning : The influence of acetylation on selected wood properties has been determined for Scandinavian pine and spruce wood, in order to predict the behavior of acetylated wood when it is used in different applications. Only minor differences in both bending strength and the modulus of elasticity were obtained for acetylated wood when compared with unmodified wood, and can, for practical applications, be considered unaltered. 20. Unravelling protein stability and aggregation
Sammanfattning : Proteins are complex macromolecules that are fundamental to all living species. The stability of proteins are governed by non-covalent forces within the protein and between the protein and its surrounding environment. LÄS MER
