  1. 16. Multilingual text generation from structured formal representations

    Författare :Dana Dannélls; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Coherence; computational linguistics; coreference; corpus linguistics discourse structure; knowledge representation; language technology; lexical semantics; linked open data; multilingual natural language generation; natural language processing; ontology; semantic web.;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to identify the optimal ways in which natural language generation techniques can be brought to bear upon the problem of processing a structured body of information in order to devise a coherent presentation of text content in multiple languages. We investigate how chains of referential expressions are realized in English, Swedish and Hebrew, and suggest several coreference strategies that can be used to generate coherent descriptions about paintings. 2. 17. Bridging the Semantic Gap between Sensor Data and Ontological Knowledge

    Författare :Marjan Alirezaie; Amy Loutfi; Silvia Coradeschi; Pascal Hitzler; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Semantic Gap; Ontology; Knowledge Representation and Reasoning; Sensor Data; Informatik; Informatics;

    Sammanfattning : The rapid growth of sensor data can potentially enable a better awareness of the environment for humans. In this regard, interpretation of data needs to be human-understandable. For this, data interpretation may include semantic annotations that hold the meaning of numeric data. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Modeling and improving Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI)

    Författare :Ehsan Abdolmajidi; Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Spatial Data Infrastructure; System Dynamics; Fuzzy Logic; Data integration; Pattern detection; Resource Description Framework RDF ; Ontology;

    Sammanfattning : Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) development is widely known to be a challenging process owing to its complex and dynamic nature. Although great effort has been made to conceptually explain the complexity and dynamics of SDIs, few studies thus far have actually modeled these complexities. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Nut - The Goddess of Life in Text and Iconography

  5. 20. Developing digital support for learning and diagnostic reasoning in clinical practice

    Författare :Chunli Yan; Helena Lindgren; Juan Carlos Nieves; Lars-Erik Janlert; Franziska Klügl; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Clinical decision-support systems; knowledge representation; possibilistic logic; multi-agent systems; formal argumentation; ontology; automated decision making; inquiry dialogue; end-user development; continuing medical education; dementia;

    Sammanfattning : The two main purposes of clinical decision-support systems (CDSSs) are to provide healthcare professionals decision-making support based on evidence-based medical knowledge, and a continuing medical education. This thesis focuses on both purposes and shows how fundamental theory in the field of artificial intelligence can be developed, adapted and implemented in a CDSS for supporting learning and diagnostic reasoning in clinical practice.
