  1. 21. Data analysis of non-targeted mass spectrometry experiments

    Författare :Erik Tengstrand; Magnus Åberg; Olav Kvalheim; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Chemometrics; mass spectrometry; HPLC; metabolomics; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Data processing tools are valuable to the analytical chemist as they can speed up the analysis, and sometimes solve problems that are not feasible to solve in a traditional manner. However, the complexity of many data processing tools can make their use daunting for the inexperienced user. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Methods for structural studies of an antibody, screening metabolites in rat urine and analysis of spent cell cultivation media using LC/ESI-MS and chemometrics

    Författare :Leila Zamani; Sven P. Jacobsson; Jonas Bergqvist; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Screening; Fingerprinting; metabolomics; Protein drugs; Mammalian Cell lines; LC ESI-MS; chemometrics; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes bioanalytical methods for generating fingerprints of biological systems for extracting relevant information with (protein) drugs in focus. Similarities and differences between samples can reveal the hidden relevant information, which can be used to optimize the production and facilitate the quality control of such protein drugs during their development and manufacture. 3. 23. Development of Micro Liquid Separation Techniques using Electrospray Ionisation Mass Spectrometry in the Analysis of Polar Compounds and Proteins/Peptides

    Författare :Jenny Samskog; Elsa Lundanes; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Electrospray ionisation (ESI) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS) is one of the most important detection techniques for chemical analysis of small drugs as well as large biomolecules in life science today. In this thesis, aspects on improved compatibility between liquid based separation systems and mass spectrometric detection were investigated regarding buffers, sample preparation and analysis of polar compounds as well as peptides and protein digests for enhanced ESI-MS performance. 4. 24. Protein Yield and Protein Isolate Quality when applying pH-shift Processing on Cod, Haddock and Blue Whiting Fillets- Effects of Replacing Centrifugation with Filtration

    Författare :Helgi Nolsøe; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; LANTBRUKSVETENSKAPER; AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES; fish; cod; protein yield; pH-shift processing; haddock; centrifugation; surimi; Protein isolate; filtration; blue whiting;

    Sammanfattning : A more sustainable fishery and a better utilization of the harvested fish raw material are currently of great importance to prevent overexploitation of our marine resources. Production of protein isolates to use for example as surimi has for many years been an important way of better utilizing low-value fish species and fish rest raw materials. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Microextraction by packed sorbent of drugs and peptides in biological fluids

    Författare :Seyed Mosayeb Daryanavard; Mohamed Abdel-Rehim; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEPS; Local anaesthetics drugs; Peptides; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi; analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Sample preparation as the first step in an analytical procedure has an important role, particularly in bioanalysis, because of the complexity of biological samples (blood plasma and urine). Biological matrix such as plasma and blood contains proteins, organic and inorganic salts, acids, bases and various organic compounds with similar chemistry to the analytes of interest. LÄS MER
