  1. 1. Identification and promotion of attitudes related to pro-environmental travel behaviour

    Författare :Maria Johansson; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pollution control; Environmental technology; travel behaviour; traffic restrictions; pro-environmental attitudes; politicians; computerised gaming simulation environmental knowledge; civil servants; children; adolescents; adults; Miljöteknik; kontroll av utsläpp; Road transport technology; Vägtransportteknik; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : A reduction of the negative environmental impact caused by urban traffic will to a considerable extent depend on behavioural change. Assuming that attitudes partly guide behaviour, the general aim of the thesis was to increase the understanding of the underlying attitudes of daily travel behaviour and how attitudes related to pro-environmental choice of transport can be promoted. 2. 2. Why act sustainable? : Exploring what can be learnt from different approaches to motivations for pro-environmental behaviour

    Författare :Britt Stikvoort; Peter Juslin; Cajsa Bartusch; Christian A Klöckner; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; pro-environmental behaviour; motivations; within-person; between-person; Psychology; Psykologi;

    Sammanfattning : To combat anthropogenic climate change, greenhouse gas emissions need to be reduced. Though one person’s actions cannot turn the tide, so to say, the combined effort of many individuals can. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Driving it home! Exploring and enhancing the adoption of eco-driving

    Författare :Helena Strömberg; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pro-environmental behaviour; exploratory approach; behaviour change; interventions; eco-driving;

    Sammanfattning : One strategy to reduce the environmental impact of the transport sector is to increase the adoption of eco-driving among both professional and private drivers. Attempts to introduce eco-driving have though had varying success, and many questions remain to be answered. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Towards sustainable energy consumption : Electricity demand flexibility and household fuel choice

    Författare :Aemiro Melkamu Daniel; Lars Persson; Runar Brännlund; Rauli Svento; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Choice experiment; demand flexibility; electricity contract; fuel choice; fuel stacking; household heterogeneity; load control; pro-environmental framing; willingness-to-accept;

    Sammanfattning : Paper [I] investigates household heterogeneity in valuing electricity contract attributes that include various load controls and information sharing to induce demand flexibility. Using a stated preference choice experiment conducted with Swedish households, this paper shows that, although a large proportion of households ask for substantial compensation, some households are willing to share their electricity consumption information and require relatively lower compensation to allow load controls. 5. 5. Sustaining Sustainable Behaviours of Citizens by Creating Value in Their Everyday Life

    Författare :Aram Mäkivierikko; Fredrik Gröndahl; Olga Kordas; Hossein Shahrokni; Giulio Jacucci; KTH; []

    Sammanfattning : Over 60% of global greenhouse gas emissions derive from household consumption patterns. To reach the 1.5-degree target set in the Paris Agreement, new interventions to influence household behaviours are needed. This thesis examined two areas, household electricity consumption and waste sorting, where behaviour plays a large role. LÄS MER
