  1. 16. Social Networks and Privacy

    Författare :Oleksandr Bodriagov; Sonja Buchegger; Melek Ӧnen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; social networks; privacy; decentralized; encryption-based access control; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Centralized online social networks pose a threat to their users’ privacy as social network providers have unlimited access to users’ data. Decentralized social networks address this problem by getting rid of the provider and giving control to the users themselves, meaning that only the end-users themselves should be able to control access of other parties to their data. 3. 18. Cryptographic Tools for Privacy Preservation and Verifiable Randomness

    Författare :Carlo Brunetta; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Confidentiality; Verifiable Randomness; Differential Privacy; GDPR; Privacy; Cryptography;

    Sammanfattning : Our society revolves around communication. The Internet is the biggest, cheapest and fastest digital communication channel used nowadays. Due to the continuous increase of daily communication among people worldwide, more and more data might be stolen, misused or tampered. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Toward Privacy-Preserving Decentralised Systems

    Författare :Guillermo Rodríguez-Cano; Sonja Buchegger; Johan Boye; Matteo Magnani; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; decentralised information systems; distributed systems; privacy; social networks; decentraliserade informationssystem; distribuerade system; integritet; sociala nätverk; sistemas de información descentralizados; sistemas distribuidos; privacidad; redes sociales; Computer Science; Datalogi;

    Sammanfattning : Privacy enhancing technologies have proven to be a beneficial area of research lessening the threats users' privacy in centralised systems such as online social networks. Decentralised solutions have been proposed to extend the control that users have over their data as opposed to the centralised massive collection of personal and sensitive data. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Towards Privacy Preserving Intelligent Systems

    Författare :Md Sakib Nizam Khan; Sonja Buchegger; Vicenc Torra; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Privacy; Intelligent Systems; Synthetic data; Machine Learning; Datalogi; Computer Science;

    Sammanfattning : Intelligent systems, i.e., digital systems containing smart devices that can gather, analyze, and act in response to the data they collect from their surrounding environment, have progressed from theory to application especially in the last decade, thanks to the recent technological advances in sensors and machine learning.
