  1. 16. Continuously Variable Split-Power Transmissions with Several Modes

    Författare :Per Mattsson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; continuously variable transmission; variator; speed ratio range; ratio coverage; traction drive; mode shift; CVT; planetary gear; power split; IVT; infinitely variable transmission; epicyclic gear train; hydrostatic variator;

    Sammanfattning : A continuously variable transmission (CVT) of split-power design consists of a variator and an arrangement of planetary gears. A black box model describing such transmissions is presented. The model can be used for synthesis as well as loss-free analysis of split-power CVT concepts in general. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Compact and Wideband Spatial Power Combining Module for mm-Wave High-Power Amplifiers

    Författare :Artem Roev; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; integration; ; array amplifiers; spatial power combining; ; RFIC;

    Sammanfattning : The continued growth of data traffic in wireless communication applications demands to launch next-generation communication services at millimeter wave frequencies. Despite the obvious advantage of a large available spectrum, using millimeter wave bands is accompanied by many technological challenges. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Theory and Design of Efficient Active Load Modulation Power Amplifiers

    Författare :Han Zhou; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; GaN; circulator; non-reciprocity; Doherty power amplifier; Combiner synthesis; CLMA; deep power back-off; energy efficiency;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing demand for mobile data traffic has put new challenges and requirements for the development of the wireless communication infrastructure. The performance of the RF power amplifier (PA) is, in particular, of great importance, since it is the key building block for microwave transmitters in base stations and radio link equipment. 4. 19. Design and Optimization Considerations of Medium-Frequency Power Transformers in High-Power DC-DC Applications

    Författare :Amin Bahmani; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Nanocrystalline-Magnetic Core; High-Power Isolated DC-DC Converter; Solid-State Transformers; Leakage Inductance; Isolation Requirements; Medium-Frequency Power Transformer;

    Sammanfattning : Recently, power electronic converters are considered as one of the enabling technologies that can address many technical challenges in future power grids from the generation phase to the transmission and consequently distribution at different voltage levels. In contrast to the medium-power converters (5 to 100 kW) which have beenessentially investigated by the automotive and traction applications, megawatt and medium-voltage range isolated converters with a several kilohertz isolation stage,also called solid-state transformers (SST), are still in an expansive research phase. 5. 20. A Novel Bone Conduction Implant System

    Författare :Hamidreza Taghavi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; sound radiation; amplitude modulation; low-power systems.; bone conduction implant; feedback; bone anchored hearing aid; RF power amplifier; gain headroom; implantable transducer; wireless power and data transmission; RF power and data link;

    Sammanfattning : Bone conduction is the process by which an acoustic signal vibrates the skull bones to stimulate the cochlea. Patients with pure conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, and single sided deafness are sometimes poorly rehabilitated by conventional air conduction hearing aids due to for example the functionality losses in the middle ear.
