    Författare :Michael Denny; Förbränningsmotorer; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Diesel combustion; Closely-Coupled Pilot; Closely-Spaced Pilot; Combustion Noise; Heat release rate shaping; Multiple-injection strategy; Formaldehyde PLIF;

    Sammanfattning : Multiple-pilot injection strategies with both moderate and short time separations (dwells) are investigated in a light-duty diesel engine. Both conventional and optical engine experiments are performed. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Fundamental Studies on Direct Injection Nebulisers for Sample Introduction in ICP Spectrometry : Aerosol Properties, ICP Characteristics and Analytical Performance

    Författare :Daniel Goitom Asfaha; Wolfgang Frech; Ralph Edward Sturgeon; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; ICP; ICP-MS; ICP-OES; sample introduction; DIHEN; Vulkan DIN; non-spectral interferences; noise power spectra; analytical precision; plasma diagnostic parameters; particle dynamic analysis PDA ; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The performance of different types of nebulisers: Vulkan direct injection nebuliser (Vulkan DIN), direct injection high efficiency nebuliser (DIHEN), microconcentric nebuliser coupled to cyclonic or double pass spray chamber (MCN-C or MCN-DP, respectively) was investigated and compared when used for sample introduction to ICP-MS or ICP-OES. With ICP-OES, in axial viewing mode, intensity distributions across the radius of the plasma (radial intensity profiles) were determined for different spectral lines with Esum 1. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Control of Energy Storage Equipped Shunt-connected Converter for Electric Power System Stability Enhancement

    Författare :Mebtu Bihonegn Beza; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; transient stability.; energy storage; recursive least square RLS ; electromechanical oscillation; Signal estimation technique; static synchronous compensator; power oscillation damping POD ;

    Sammanfattning : Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) controllers, both in shunt and series configuration, are widely used in the power system for power flow control, to increase the loading capability of an existing line and to increase the security of the system by enhancing its transient stability. Among the FACTS controllers family, the Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) is a key device for the reinforcement of the stability in an AC power system. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Planning and Operation of Large Amounts of Wind Power in a Distribution System

    Författare :Shemsedin Nursebo; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; cost benefit analysis; coordination.; distribution system; active management strategies; control; integration issues of wind power; frequency of tap change;

    Sammanfattning : The global installed capacity of wind power has shown a significant growth, from 24 GW in 2001 to 370 GW in 2014. The trend shows that an increasing capacity of wind power is being connected to the electric power system. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Modelling and Interference Analysis of AC-DC Converters for Immunity to Voltage Disturbances up to 150 kHz

    Författare :Selcuk Sakar; Sarah Rönnberg; Math Bollen; Sjef Cobben; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; AC-DC power converters; electromagnetic compatibility EMC ; high frequency disturbances; supraharmonics; switching converters; interharmonics; conducted disturbances; Electric Power Engineering; Elkraftteknik;

    Sammanfattning : The function of electrical and electronic equipment is challenged by the high frequency emission originated from the more use of switching-based power electronic equipment and Power line communication (PLC) signaling. Investigations have shown that interferences occur in the frequency range between 2 kHz and 150 kHz, e.g. LÄS MER
