  1. 16. Cooling Strategies for Wave Power Conversion Systems

    Författare :Antoine Baudoin; Cecilia Boström; Anne Blavette; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wave power; power conversion system; thermal management; power elctronics; passive cooling; natural convection.;

    Sammanfattning : The Division for Electricity of Uppsala University is developing a wave power concept. The energy of the ocean waves is harvested with wave energy converters, consisting of one buoy and one linear generator. The units are connected in a submerged substation. The mechanical design is kept as simple as possible to ensure reliability. LÄS MER

    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electric Power Transformer; Losses; Simulation; Temperature; Calculation; Electric power engineering; Elkraftteknik; elektronik; Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : Simulering av temperatur och värmeförluster i kärna och lindning för en högspänningstransformator “... Ett ljus som lyser dubbelt så starkt, varar hälften så länge …”, i analogi med ljuset så kan transformatorer köras med överlast inom vissa gränser, men med följden att livslängden blir kortare. 3. 18. Low-Power Multi-GHz Circuit Techniques for On-chip Clocking

    Författare :Martin Hansson; Atila Alvandpour; Per Larsson-Edefors; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CMOS; low-power; high-performance; flip-flop; clocking; leakage-compensation; process-variation; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Sammanfattning : The impressive evolution of modern high-performance microprocessors have resulted in chips with over one billion transistors as well as multi-GHz clock frequencies. As the silicon integrated circuit industry moves further into the nanometer regime, three of the main challenges to overcome in order for continuing CMOS technology scaling are; growing standby power dissipation, increasing variations in process parameters, and increasing power dissipation due to growing clock load and circuit complexity. 4. 19. Electro-thermal simulations and measurements of silicon carbide power transistors

    Författare :Wei Liu; Carl-Mikael Zetterling; Nicholas G. Wright; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronics; silicon carbide; power device; metal semiconductor field-effect transistor; bipolar junction transistor; electro-thermal simulation; Elektronik; Electronics; Elektronik;

    Sammanfattning : The temperature dependent electrical characteristics of silicon carbide power transistors – 4H-SiC metal semiconductor field-effect transistors (MESFETs) and 4H-SiC bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) have been investigated through simulation and experimental approaches. Junction temperatures and temperature distributions in devices under large power densities have been estimated. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : More and more electronic products, like battery chargers and power supplies, as well as applications in telecommunications and automotive electronics are based on System-on-Chip solutions, where signal processing and power devices are integrated on the same chip. The integration of different functional units offers many advantages in terms of reliability, reduced power consumption, weight and space reduction, leading to products with better performance at a hopefully lower price.
