  1. 6. Power Doppler - Principles and Potential Clinical Applications

    Författare :Anders Nilsson; PG Lindgren; Torbjörn Andersson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Radiology; Ultrasonography; Doppler studies; Power Doppler; Volume flow; Radiologisk forskning; Radiological research; Radiologisk forskning;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this work was to: a) Determine whether the amount of colour in a power Doppler image is dependent on the angle between the examined vessel and the soundbeam and/or on the velocity of the flow within the vessel; b) Investigate if a dependency on flow velocity could be used for the detection of volume flow differences and c) Define clinical applications utilising the improved sensitivity to low flow of PD.In the experimental studies (study I and II) a silicon tube in a water bath was insonated, the insonation angle and the volume flow changed and the resulting images stored, transferred to a personal computer and analysed with regard to the amount of colour present in the image. 2. 7. Purchasing Power and Purchasing Strategies - Insights From the Humanitarian Sector

    Författare :Ala Pazirandeh; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Humanitarian logistics; Purchainsg; Resource dependency theory; Buyer-supplier power;

    Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, we discuss how buyers practice purchasing strategies in an asymmetric power situation favoring suppliers, and how their purchasing strategies practiced impact their purchasing power and buyer-supplier relationships. Organizations enter exchange relationships to access required resources not produced internally, and are exposed to uncertainty from not being able to fully control or predict flow of resources. 3. 8. Interference alignment and power control for wireless interference networks

    Författare :Hamed Farhadi; Mikael Skoglund; Michail Matthaiou; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Interference alignment; power control; limited feedback; wireless communication; SRA - ICT; SRA - Informations- och kommunikationsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the design of efficient transmission schemes forwireless interference networks, when certain channel state information(CSI) is available at the terminals.In wireless interference networks multiple source-destination pairsshare the same transmission medium for the communications.
