    Sammanfattning : The article reviews the development work with a fully automated system for performance of potentiometric titrations during investigations of complex formation between weak acids and metal ions in water solutions. The strategy of the experimental work is discussed with reference to the results obtained during the equilibrium studies of pyruvate protonation and metal pyruvate complex formation in water solutions.     Sammanfattning : Acid/base and metal ion adsorption properties have been investigated for a range of chemically modified bleached Kraft fibre materials (pulps). The studies were performed via potentiometric titrations, Flame Atomic Absorbtion (and Emission) Spectroscopy, Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy and Extended X-ray Absorbtion Fine Structure measurements.     Sammanfattning : Surface reactions occurring at solid-water interfaces in calcium mineral-ligands systems have been studied. Both hydrous apatite and fluorite surfaces show clear amphoteric properties. An ion exchange process between lattice ions of F- on fluorite and OH- ions in bulk solution is discovered. LÄS MER
