1. Computer control of potentiometric titrations : a computer assisted system for the operation and control of potentiometric titrations - strategy and technique for acquisition of emf-data during investigations of complex formation between weak acids and metal ions in aqueous solutions
Sammanfattning : The article reviews the development work with a fully automated system for performance of potentiometric titrations during investigations of complex formation between weak acids and metal ions in water solutions. The strategy of the experimental work is discussed with reference to the results obtained during the equilibrium studies of pyruvate protonation and metal pyruvate complex formation in water solutions. 2. Cation adsorption properties of substituted kraft fibres : an experimental and thermodynamic modelling study
Sammanfattning : Acid/base and metal ion adsorption properties have been investigated for a range of chemically modified bleached Kraft fibre materials (pulps). The studies were performed via potentiometric titrations, Flame Atomic Absorbtion (and Emission) Spectroscopy, Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy and Extended X-ray Absorbtion Fine Structure measurements. 3. Uncertainties in Actinide Solubility Calculations Illustrated using the Th-OH-PO4 System
Sammanfattning : Computer simulations have become increasingly popular in many different areas over the years, owing mainly to more effective and cheaper machines. In many cases, the trend seems to be that computer simulations are replacing experiments, at least in areas in which experiments are very difficult (expensive) or impossible. LÄS MER

5. Surface complexation at calcium mineral-water interfaces
Sammanfattning : Surface reactions occurring at solid-water interfaces in calcium mineral-ligands systems have been studied. Both hydrous apatite and fluorite surfaces show clear amphoteric properties. An ion exchange process between lattice ions of F- on fluorite and OH- ions in bulk solution is discovered. LÄS MER
