  1. 21. Early age properties of self-compacting concrete - Effects of fine aggregate and limestone filler

    Författare :Oskar Esping; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; pore pressure; autogenous deformation; self-compacting concrete; plastic shrinkage; BET; specific surface area; rheology; limestone filler;

    Sammanfattning : Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is a sensitive mix, strongly dependent on the composition and the characteristics of its constituents. It has to possess the incompatible properties of high flowability together with high segregation resistance, a balance made possible by the dispersing effect of water-reducing admixture combined with cohesiveness produced by a high concentration of fine particles. 2. 22. Exploring expandable microspheres as a novel pore former in gel-cast macroporous alumina

    Författare :Linnéa Andersson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Gel casting; macroporosity; Al2O3; near-net shape; expandable microspheres; layer-by-layer adsorption; polyelectrolyte; multilayer; colloids; X-ray micro-computed tomography; Lab CT; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : Expandable microspheres have been explored as sacrificial templates for the production of macroporous ceramics. Concentrated alumina powder suspensions that contain expandable microspheres have been consolidated by gel-casting. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Deformation and Fatigue Behaviour of Porous and Dense Austenitic Stainless Steel

    Författare :Ulf Lindstedt; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; mechanical properties; austenitic stainless steel; PM steel; nitrogen; small cracks; previous particle boundaries; microplasticity; grain size dependence; fatigue; porosity;

    Sammanfattning : PM stainless steels are increasing in use and are expected to do so in the future. A lot of work has been carried out concerning production and sintering of stainless steel powders and on the resulting corrosion behaviour. The deformation behaviour of these materials is less studied. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Advanced Plasma Analyzer for Measurements in the Magnetosphere of Jupiter

    Författare :Joan Stude; Stas Barabash; Martin Wieser; Joseph H. Westlake; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; plasma instrumentation; time-of-flight; space; Jupiter; JUICE; PEP; JDC; start surface; charge fraction; the final frontier; accidental counts; chance counts; micro pore optics; spherical-wedge electrostatic analyzer; rymd- och plasmafysik; Space and Plasma Physics; fysik; Physics;

    Sammanfattning : The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer is a planetary exploration mission that aims to study the moons of Jupiter in the planet’s vast magnetosphere. Among the various instruments on board is the Particle Environment Package (PEP), that is led by the Swedish Institute of Space Physics (IRF) in Kiruna. LÄS MER

  5. 25. A Study of Parameters and Properties Influencing the Size, Morphology and Oxygen Content of Water Atomized Metal Powders

    Författare :Fredrik Persson; Pär Jönsson; Christopher Neil Hulme; Lauri Holappa; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Teknisk materialvetenskap; Materials Science and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The production of metal powders by water atomization is a well-established process, which can be used to produce a wide range of particle sizes for different applications. In general, there is a lack of detailed knowledge about what process parameters that affect the powder properties for water atomized metal powders. LÄS MER
