11. Electrospinning Nanofibres from Cellulose Dissolved in Ionic Liquid
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the electrospinning of cellulose nanofibres from ionic liquids. Cellulose nanofibres produced by an environmentally friendly process have the potential to replace synthetic nanofibres produced with volatile and harmful solvents. LÄS MER
12. Morphology and material stability in polymer solar cells
Sammanfattning : Polymer solar cells are promising in that they are inexpensive to produce, and due to their mechanical flexibility have the potential for use in applications not possible for more traditional types of solar cells. The performance of polymer solar cells depends strongly on the distribution of electron donor and acceptor material in the active layer. LÄS MER
13. Engineering and Functionalization of Degradable Scaffolds for Medical Implant Applications
Sammanfattning : The treatment of bone defects is facing the situation of lacking donations for autotransplantation. As a valid approach, scaffold-based tissue engineering combines the construction of well-defined porous scaffolds with advanced cell culturing technology to guide tissue regeneration. LÄS MER
14. Asymmetrical Flow Field-Flow Fractionation and Multiangle Light Scattering for Molar Mass Analysis of Polysaccharide Derivatives
Sammanfattning : Molar mass and molar mass distribution of polymers are parameters of fundamental importance as they influence the performance of the polymer in applications. Polysaccharide derivatives are a class of polymers that have attracted significant scientific and commercial interest as they can be manufactured from a wide range of abundant sources in nature and thereby often are both cheap and biocompatible. 15. Poly(ethylene-graft-ethylene oxide) Preparation and Properties in Polymer Blends
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the preparation, characterisation and properties of poly(ethylene-graft-ethylene oxide) (PE-PEO). The grafting reaction was carried out with the grafting onto method using the carboxylic acid groups of poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid) (PEAA) as reactive sites in an esterification reaction with poly(ethylene oxide) mono-methyl ethers (MPEO) of varying molecular weights: 750, 2000 and 5000.
