Sammanfattning : The thesis is an ethnographic study of three political groups in the Parisian banlieues: Ni putes ni soumises, AFRICA and Mouvement des indigènes de la République. Sammanfattning : This dissertation investigates the way that feminist resistance is expressed in two Swedish and two German so-called New Woman novels from the turn of the twentieth century: Elin Wägner’s Pennskaftet (1910, Penwoman), Gabriele Reuter’s Aus guter Familie (1895, From a Good Family), Hilma Angered-Strandberg’s Lydia Vik (1904), and Grete Meisel-Hess’s Die Intellektuellen (1911).The theoretical apparatus is comprised by the work of Michel Foucault, Judith Butler, Jacques Lacan, and Jessica Benjamin. 24. Feminism, citizenship and the media : an ethnographic study of identity processes within four women's associations
Sammanfattning : The primary purpose of this doctoral thesis is to investigate the media practices of four Swedish women's associations and some of their individual members in order to gain insight into the role of the media in these women's individual and collective processes of identity formation as feminists and citizens. Sammanfattning : In this dissertation, I analyze understandings and employment of the idea that ‘the personal is political’ and how it appears in feminist politico-theoretical thought and activism in the period from the late 1960s until the middle of 1990s.
