    Sammanfattning : This thesis project focuses on measurements of dermal microcirculation during vascular provocations with polarised light spectroscopy.     Sammanfattning : PoGOLite is a balloon-borne experiment which will study polarised soft gamma-ray emission from astrophysical targets in the 25 keV – 80 keV energy range by applying well-type phoswich detector technology. Polarised gamma-rays are expected from a wide variety of sources including rotation-powered pulsars, accreting black holes and neutron stars, and jet-dominated active galaxies. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Dynamic (or 2D) FT-IR spectroscopy in combination withpolarized IR irradiation has been used in this work to studywood polymer orientation and interactions on theultrastructural level in wood fibers in the native state aswell as the effects of different pulping processes.     Sammanfattning : Representing a substantial range and variety in morphological and ecological niche, found on all continents of the globe (except for the Antarctic), the ball-rolling dung beetles provide an excellent model in which to study the heading direction network and the factors by which it is influenced. As soon as a ball-rolling dung beetle has located a fresh dung pile to feed on, it immediately starts shaping a piece of dung into a ball, rolling it away from the dung pat in as straight of a trajectory as the terrain allows.
