    Sammanfattning : The chromosphere is a complex and dynamic layer of the solar atmosphere, largely dominated by the local magnetic field configuration. It acts as an important interface between the photosphere below it and the hot corona above. However, studying this layer is not straightforward, as it is largely transparent in optical wavelengths.     Sammanfattning : Solar plage has been the topic of many studies since its initial description in the mid 19th century, but as of yet it has not been understood to the point where we can reproduce all aspects of these active regions in quasi-realistic numerical models.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to investigate the importance of the mother figure for the definition of the female identity in three novels by the Belgian writer and psychoanalyst Jacqueline Harpman: La fille démantelée, La plage d’Ostende and Orlanda. This perspective is largely motivated by the specific character of the mother-daughter relation which is crucial to the formation of female identity.
