  1. 1. Phosphorylated Monomolecular Layers : Design, Synthesis, Characterization and Application

    Författare :Johan Ekeroth; Karin Caldwell; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the design, synthesis and characterization of organo-phosphatemonomolecular layers, so called self-assembled monolayers, using the strategy of linking organosulfur substances to a gold surface. Moreover there is also a paper included, which describes the development of synthetic pathways to various phospholipids, for which I have developed an interest in later projects. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Signaling for color change in melanophores : and a biosensor application

    Författare :Annika M. Karlsson; Samuel Svensson; Margareta Wallin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :color change; melanophores; tyrosine; phosphorylations; melatonin; nitric oxide; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Sammanfattning : Melanophores are dark brown pigment cells located in the skin of fish, amphibia, reptiles, and many invertebrates. The color of the animal can change via rearrangement of pigment granules, melanosomes, in the cells. The dark melanophores can either hide colorful cells so that the animal appears dark, or let through colors from underneath. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Monolithic separation media synthesized in capillaries and their applications for molecularly imprinted networks

    Författare :Julien Courtois; Knut Irgum; Ruth Freitag; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; bupivacaine; etching; phosphorylated tyrosine; poly ethylene glycol ; silanization; transmission electron microscopy; fused silica capillaries; isothermal titration calorimetry; local anæsthetic; molecularly imprinted polymer; monolith; nuclear magnetic resonance; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : The thesis describes the synthesis of chromatographic media using several different approaches, their characterizations and applications in liquid chromatography. The steps to achieve a separation column for a specific analyte are presented. The main focus of the study was the design of novel molecularly imprinted polymers. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Molecular biology of Brouton's tyrosine kinase

    Författare :Carl-Magnus Bäckesjö; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :X-linked agammaglobulinemia; XLA; Bruton s tyrosine kinase; Btk; signal transduction; phosphorylation; pleckstrin homology domain; PH; SH2; SH3.;

    Sammanfattning : X-linked agammaglobulinemia (XLA) is caused by an arrest in the B lymphocyte differentiation. XLA patients lack mature B-cells and subsequently antibody production. The defective gene causing XLA is the BTK gene, which codes for the protein Bruton s tyrosine kinase (Btk), a cytoplasmic enzyme related to the Src family of kinases. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The receptor tyrosine kinase Met and the protein tyrosine phosphatase PTPN2 in breast cancer

    Författare :Cynthia Veenstra; Olle Stål; Gizeh Perez-Tenorio; Pietras Kristian; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women worldwide and the second leading cause of cancer death. It is a heterogeneous disease and is subdivided into different subtypes, all with different treatment responses and survival outcomes. LÄS MER
