    Sammanfattning : Intraocular pressure (IOP) measurement is a routine procedure and a fundament in glaucoma care. Elevated IOP is the main risk factor for glaucoma, and to date, reduction of IOP is the only possible treatment.     Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the design and synthesis of inhibitors targeting Mycobacterium tuberculosis ribonucleotide reductase (RNR) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3 protease; enzymes that have been identified as potential drug targets for the treatment of tuberculosis and hepatitis C, respectively.     Sammanfattning : Hypothermia treatment (HT) is now proven to be neuroprotective, is associated with favourable outcomes, and is considered as the standard of care for moderate to severe hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE).
