21. CHALMEX FS-13 investigations for process implementation
Sammanfattning : From successive neutron absorption by uranium in nuclear reactors, transuranic elements such as neptunium, plutonium, americium and curium are produced. These elements are the main reason for the long-lived, highly radiotoxic and heat-producing nature of spent nuclear fuel. LÄS MER
22. Affinity-, Partition- and Permeability Properties of the Human Red Blood Cell Membrane and Biomembrane Models, with Emphasis on the GLUT1 Glucose Transporter
Sammanfattning : The human glucose transporter GLUT1 is abundant in red blood cells, the blood-brain barrier and epithelial cells, where it mediates the transport of the energy metabolite, glucose. In the present work some properties of GLUT1, including affinity binding of both substrates and inhibitors, transport rates as well as permeabilities of aromatic amino acids and drug-membrane interactions were analyzed by chromatographic methods. 23. Screening Investigations of Novel Nitrogen Donor Ligands
Sammanfattning : With an increasing global demand for electricity, nuclear power plays an important role. The nuclear power industry is in different stages of development throughout the world. LÄS MER
24. Development of a Solvent Extraction Process for Group Actinide Recovery from Used Nuclear Fuel
Sammanfattning : When uranium is used as fuel in nuclear reactors it both undergoes neutron induced fission as well as neutron capture. Through successive neutron capture and beta decay transuranic elements such as neptunium, plutonium, americium and curium are produced in substantial amounts. LÄS MER
25. Selective extraction systems for detection and purification of membrane proteins
Sammanfattning : Increased understanding of membrane proteins is important for characterization of biochemical processes. Improved membrane protein isolation methods is a key issue for effective functional and structural determination of the large amount of unknown membrane proteins. LÄS MER
