21. Design for Perception - A human-centric approach to the design of driving automation systems based on the driver’s perception
Sammanfattning : The automotive industry is rapidly developing driving automation systems (DAS) with the aim of supporting drivers by means of the automation of longitudinal and lateral vehicle control. As vehicle complexity increases and update-over-the-air features are enabling continuous development of vehicle software and functionality, the driver’s understanding of their responsibility and their vehicle’s capabilities and limitations is becoming significantly more important. 22. Separations in Multivocality: Reconfiguring Dialogue through Design
Sammanfattning : This thesis takes an artistic research approach concerned with the designer's agency within processes of public space. It traverses contexts of urbanism, urban design, architecture, art, design and participatory processes but also draws from other fields. LÄS MER
23. Sharing The Design Authorship Of Sustainability : Towards co-creation of sustainable transport systems and practices
Sammanfattning : Any separation between technology and society can be claimed to be artificial. Technological material systems are intertwined with human everyday life practices and ways of living, values, and belief systems. When we design and develop new technological systems, we are also designing opportunities for new daily living practices to emerge. LÄS MER
24. Tacit : A research journey into the methods, processes and knowledge of graphic designers
Sammanfattning : By exploring the potential effects of digitisation on graphic design methods, this thesis aims to highlight some of the tacit knowledge possessed by graphic designers and to show that this knowledge can both be externalised and made communicable. Beginning with an interview study where professional designers’ views were gathered and analysed, the work continued through a participatory study where designers’ knowledge was highlighted in a documented design project. 25. Designing for Resilience : Navigating Change in Service Systems
Sammanfattning : Services are prone to change in the form of expected and unexpected variations and disruptions, more so given the increasing interconnectedness and complexity of service systems today. These changes require service systems to be resilient and designed to adapt, to ensure that services continue to work smoothly. LÄS MER
