13. Women who do not attend parental education classes during pregnancy or after birth
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on childbirth and parenthood education during pregnancy and the year after childbirth, and investigates attendance rates and factors associated with non-attendance, and women's experiences and possible effects of antenatal education. Also, women with a non-Swedish speaking background are analysed: their uptake of care at the antenatal and child health centres, and their own and their child s physical and emotional well-being up to five years after birth. Sammanfattning : Essay I: I study the effects of increased social assistance (SA) generosity by exploiting exogenous variation induced by a ruling in the Swedish Supreme Administrative Court in 1993, mandating local governments to provide a minimum level of untied SA payments. The new rule forced some local governments to increase their SA generosity, while others were unaffected as they already complied with the stricter standards. LÄS MER
