    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this dissertation has been to paint a more detailed picture of the organization and practice of the Board of Public Buildings during the period 1818-1917, mainly through a close-up study of four consecutive architects working for the Board. Besides analysing the practice followed by the authority and the social structure of which it was a part, the dissertation also deals with aspects of its interaction with executive regional and local clients, and the effect this mutual collaboration had on the final architectural expression.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation has been to investigate whether the democratization process in the Church of Sweden in the latter part of the 20th century has led to changes in the office and the role of bishops. The main issue in our investigation has been to elucidate whether a change in the bishops´ real influence on various levels of the church´s organization has taken place and if so, to examine and explain the underlaying motives and driving forces.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to discuss the two theologic anthropological concepts microcosm and steward within the World Council of Churches project called the JPIC-process - their JPIC stands for justice, peace and the integrity of creation - and to relate the two anthropological concepts to each other using a theological correlation method. After an introduction the JPIC-process, which officially took place between the General Assembly in Vancouver 1983 and the General Assembly in Canberra 1991 is described with special concern for the third sub theme the integrity of creation, and also critically analysed.     Sammanfattning : Syftet med avhandlingen är att undersöka den sammantagna livssituationen för ett begränsat urval individer (en primär kohort av 19 män och en utökad kohort av ytterligare 42 män, det vill säga totalt 61 män) i ett familjesammanhang. Det handlar närmare bestämt om att så långt källorna tillåter söka kvalitativt förstå och karaktärisera socioekonomiska villkor, familjeliv och hälsa, såsom de gestaltar sig i den vardagliga livsföringen och i relation till den specifika tiden och den lokala stadsmiljön.
