16. Biomechanical Parameter Estimation for Wearable Exoskeleton System Design
Sammanfattning : Exoskeletons are increasingly used in rehabilitation and daily life in persons with motor disorders after neurological injuries. The overall objective of this thesis is to study how to robustly and accurately predict joint torque using inputs from sensors that would technically be feasible to equip on an assistive exoskeleton, and to develop a framework that could be used to evaluate the user-exoskeleton interface. 17. Influence of Solvent Composition on Crystal Agglomeration of Paracetamol
Sammanfattning : Agglomeration is an important phenomenon which often controls the particle size distribution and morphology in the crystallization of organic compounds. In this thesis the influence of solvent composition on crystal agglomeration of paracetamol is investigated. LÄS MER
18. Gearbox noise : Correlation with transmission error and influence of bearing preload
Sammanfattning : The five appended papers all deal with gearbox noise and vibration. The first paper presents a review of previously published literature on gearbox noise and vibration. The second paper describes a test rig that was specially designed and built for noise testing of gears. LÄS MER
19. Influence of serotonin on anxiety-like behavior in rat
Sammanfattning : It is well-established that serotonin is involved in the regulation of mood and behaviour, partly implied by the therapeutic effect of prolonged treatment with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) on mood and anxiety disorders. However, the mechanisms behind the paradoxical exacerbation of anxiety described during initial treatment, as well as behind the therapeutic effects of prolonged treatment with SSRIs, remain poorly understood. 20. Thermal cracking of young concrete : partial coefficients, restraint effects and influence of casting joints
Sammanfattning : Cracks can occur due to temperature induced movements during the hardening phase of concrete. Thermal cracks are not decisive for the load-bearing capacity but cause costs for repair and may reduce the life of the structure. The risk of cracking can be judged through safety values, (partial coefficients) given in building codes. LÄS MER
