  1. 1. Information Systems Actability : Understanding Information Technology as a Tool for Business Action and Communication

    Författare :Pär J. Ågerfalk; Göran Goldkuhl; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; information systems; information systems actability; Internet-based information systems; language action perspective; Information technology; Informationsteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : This dissertation is devoted to a perspective from which IT-based information systems are conceived as information technological artefacts intended for business action and communication. The perspective has been made concrete through the concept of information systems actability, which is the main concept under scrutiny. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Envisioning a Future Decision Support System for Requirements Engineering : A Holistic and Human-centred Perspective

    Författare :Beatrice Alenljung; Anne Persson; Sture Hägglund; Pär Carlshamre; Per Ågerfalk; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Requirements engineering; decision-making; decision support systems; RE decision-making; RE decision support; Informatics; Informatik; Informatics and systems science; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : Complex decision-making is a prominent aspect of requirements engineering (RE) and the need for improved decision support for RE decision-makers has been identified by a number of authors in the research literature. The fundamental viewpoint that permeates this thesis is that RE decision-making can be substantially improved by RE decision support systems (REDSS) based on the actual needs of RE decision-makers as well as the actual generic human decision-making activities that take place in the RE decision processes. 4. 4. Routinizing Workarounds : The Case of a Mandated PDMS in Critical Care

    Författare :Thomas Ejnefjäll; Pär Ågerfalk; Magnus Rotvit Perlt Hansen; Franck Tétard; Ulf Melin; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; workaround; routines; routine dynamics; mandated; PDMS; healthcare; critical care; Information Systems; Informationssystem;

    Sammanfattning : Workarounds are an emerging area within information systems (IS) research where contributions are increasing but there seem to be different views on what constitutes a workaround. While some aspects of workarounds have attracted considerable research attention and show a high degree of consensus, other aspects contain scarce or conflicting findings. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Towards a Boundary Resources Theory of Software Platforms

    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; software platforms; third-party development; boundary resources; innovation networks; resourcing; securing; governance;

    Sammanfattning : The last few years have witnessed a significant increase in the frequency and magnitude of involving third-party application developers in software platforms. While this involvement offers great opportunities in building and sustaining platform innovation, it also exposes platform owners to significant challenges. LÄS MER
