  1. 1. Oxidative spreading in polypropylene as studied by iImaging chemiluminescence

    Författare :Petter Eriksson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :Oxidation; Spreading; Chemiluminescence; Imaging; Polypropylene; PP; Polyamide; Gasphase;

    Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER

  2. 2. New Approaches to Investigate and Prevent Oxidation of Polypropylene

    Författare :Petter Eriksson; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :oxidation; polypropylene; oxidative spreading; antioxidants; hyperbranched antioxidants;

    Sammanfattning : When employing chemiluminescence to evaluate stabiliserperformance in a polymer, the induction time or the time toreach maximum chemiluminescence intensity is often used. Insuch an experiment the longest part of the experiment isnormally the time before the oxidation starts. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Astrocytic communication and cell death during metabolic depression and oxidative stress

    Författare :Christina Nodin; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :astrocyte; gap junction; ATP; ROS; oxidative stress; Annexin V; AIF; programmed cell death; Nrf2; scavenger; iodoacetate; SIN-1;

    Sammanfattning : Stroke is a major cause of death and adult disability in the western world. Most often, stroke is caused by the occlusion of a brain artery. Within the perfusion territory of the occluded vessel, various degrees of necrotic and delayed programmed cell death will occur if the occlusion persists, leading to expanding tissue damage. LÄS MER

  4. 4. A1M: a heme and radical binding protein. A study on structure, function and mechanisms

    Författare :Sigurbjörg Rutardottir; Infektionsmedicin; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; α1-microglobulin; oxidative stress; heme; radiation; reactive oxygen species; preeclampsia;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis describes functional and structural studies of the human protein α1-microglobulin (A1M), an evolutionarily well-conserved 26 kDa plasma and tissue protein mainly synthesized in the liver. A1M belongs to the lipocalin protein family. Lipocalins share a very similar structur, an 8-stranded β-barrel forming a hydrophobic pocket. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Understanding inflammatory mechanisms in rheumatic diseases

    Författare :Ia Khmaladze; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Psoriasis (Ps) and Psoriasis arthritis (PsA) are chronic inflammatory autoimmune disorders, where primary targets are peripheral joints, skin and skin/joints respectively. Both innate and adaptive immunity play a role in disease initiation and progression. LÄS MER
