11. Physical and Chemical Aspects of Radiation Induced Oxidative Dissolution of UO2
12. Kinetics for oxidation of CRUD model compounds
Sammanfattning : The formation of CRUD (Chalk River Unidentified Deposit) inwater-cooled nuclear reactors constitute a severe problem. Thestability of CRUD under reactor conditions (high flux ofionizing radition, high temperature and pressure) must be knownin order to minimize the problem. LÄS MER
13. Palladium-catalyzed C-H functionalization of alkenes under oxidative conditions
Sammanfattning : The unique properties of high oxidation state palladium have been used to develop new catalytic alkene C-H functionalization reactions. A Heck-type coupling based on the reactivity of palladium catalysts and diaryliodonium salts has been developed with broad synthetic scope and tolerance for functional groups that are ordinarily reactive in Pd0/PdII catalysis, for example, allylic acetates and aryl bromides. 14. In vitro and in vivo oxidation of diastereomers of lignin models of arylgylcerol b-aryl ether type and heterologous expression of laccase
Sammanfattning : Enzymic and non-enzymic oxidation of lignin models of the arylglycerol β-aryl ether type was investigated in experiments aimed at providing a better understanding of the initial phase of biological lignin degradation. Product profiles and diasteromer selectivity were determined to gain knowledge of the properties of the oxidants and pave the way for evaluation of the presence of the oxidants in ligninolytic fungal cultures. 15. Measurement of Self-Heating of Biomass Pellets using Isothermal Calorimetry
Sammanfattning : Self-heating in storage facilities of biomass pellet can lead to spontaneous combustion. This has resulted in many fires over the years, causing both financial and environmental losses. In order to assess the risk for spontaneous combustion of biomass pellets during storage, it is important to know how prone the fuel is to self-heating, i.e. LÄS MER
