  1. 16. New innovative methods for non-intrusive optical diagnostics of high-voltage insulator materials

    Författare :Magnus Bengtsson; Atomfysik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Atom- och molekylärfysik; Atomic and molecular physics; akustik; optik; optics; acoustics; Electromagnetism; Microbiology; bacteriology; virology; mycology; Mikrobiologi; bakteriologi; virologi; mykologi; fluorescence; optical diagnostics; high-voltage insulation; remote sensing; polymeric insulators; lidar; biological contamination; Gases; fluid dynamics; plasmas; Gaser; fluiddynamik; plasma; Energy research; Energiforskning; Elektromagnetism;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this PhD thesis work has been to develop optical techniques that can help utility engineers for assessing the state of insulators in service and in a laboratory. The possibilities to use remote laser induced fluorescence for detection and imaging of biological growth such as algae and fungi have been investigated. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Moisture safety in wood frame walls : blind evaluation of the hygrothermal calculation tool WUFI 5.0 using field measurements and determination of factors affecting the moisture safety

    Författare :Solof Mundt Petersen; Avdelningen för Byggnadsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : Due to increased awareness of climate change and higher energy costs, well‐insulated buildings have become more common. Furthermore, the interests of using wood in building to produce more carbon dioxide‐efficient houses have increased. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Extensive green roofs in Porto Alegre, Brazil : Effect on indoor thermal comfort in residential buildings

    Författare :Lisandra Fachinello Krebs; Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Architecture; Computer simulations; Extensive green roofs; Housing projects; Indoor thermal comfort; Leaf area index; Microclimate; Social housing; Sustainability; Thermal comfort;

    Sammanfattning : Brazil had a significant quantitative housing deficit of 7.7 million residences in 2015, especially in low-income housing. Traditionally, these projects have low levels of thermal insulation which can result in discomfort caused by warmth or cold. The residential sector is responsible for a significant part of the energy use in Brazil. LÄS MER
